Question by sunshine: How can I prove that someone has created a fake “proof of pregnancy” letter? What do they normally look like?
The letter that this person has looks like completly fake it doesnt even have a phone number of the clinic or hospital. And it says that the blood work and pregnancy test were done at the same time. It doesnt even have DUE DATE! It just says you are approximately 4 to 5 weeks.

it is a fake and most of the time the clinics will have it on a yellow sheet of paper. talk to the person and find out where they got the testing done… then call the clinic and verify if they seen her there on that date…..

What do you think? Answer below!

If you have grounds (like you’re an employer of this person), you can ask her for the name of the clinic/hospital, then call them. Tell her you need it for verification as a company policy or something. You can say that letter is unacceptable and you need one more specific with follow-up contacts. If she fights you on it, then its obvious it is fake. If she were truly pregnant and not trying to pull something, she would be happy to supply with you with any information you need.

When I got one from planned parenthood when I was pregnant with my girls it had the letter head (which has all the clinic info) and then it has a little paragraph with fill in the blanks for you are _____ (pos. or neg) and then it tells you you EDD.

With my son my proof of pregnancy came from my OB, they just wrote it on a excuse from work slip.

Either way, all proof of pregnancy letters should have at least 2 things.
    1. the clinic name to show WHERE they got it and if someone was to call and confirm it (not that the clinic could tell anything anyway) they could.
    2. the actual due date, not a your X weeks.. ok, so when did that test get done? when were you X weeks?!
I would say that letters a crock..

my proof of my pregnancy had the clinics name on it, a signature, and an actual due date. i didnt have blood work or anything done at that time so that wasnt on there, but what your talking about sounds fake i think. if it is real, im not sure if the pregnancy test and the blood work could be done at the same time. unless you can test for pregnancy through blood, which im not sure, but i do know when i had blood work done i had to go to a completely different lab/office to get it done.

that’s fake. If it were real it’d have a letter head on it at least. Some places even have a watermark inside the paper. It would have all the information it’s missing, especially the EDD. And at 4-5 weeks? I’d hope you wouldn’t have to “prove” that this is a fake letter. Common Sense should tell someone it’s a fake.

Sounds like a fake to me. My proof of pregnancy letter had letterhead from my clinic’s office and simply stated that I was pregnant and my Estimated Due Date. I think this person is lying to you.

Mine had where it came from, the number, the doctor I saw, EXACTLY how far along (I was 8wks3dys) the Estimated due date and the date of my last missed period on it lol! So I believe yours is a fake and I say buy a pregnancy test go to there place and say “here, take it.” cuz they should have no problem doing that for you if they really are prego! or even ask what clinic it was, hell even say you want to SPEAK with the doctor! And whoever is doing this to you is not a good person. im sorry but making a fake proof of pregnancy is so immature and just plain odd. What kind of a person tries to trick someone like that?!?!? Good Luck with that and when the truth really does come out I would suggest not being associated with this person cuz that kinda stuff is just low down….

Are you the proposed father or grandparent? If not, it is none of your business. Based on your info though, I would say it is a fake. At the very least, it has the name of the person and the ordering physician.

If you are the supposed father, ask her to take you with her to her next appointment as you have some questions for the doctor. Almost guaranteed, the ‘pregnant’ person will refuse if they are not pregnant or magically miscarry before the appointment.

A letter confirming pregnancy is normally given to provide insurance benefits, so it just doesn’t make sense that what you saw is a real thing. I can’t imagine an insurance company accepting it.

Hi, the only thing that you can due is confront this person and tell her to tell you the truth, because the true always comes out. Or maybe she is not very mentally good thats why she thinks she is pregant. Does she likes you or she wants to get some one introuble take her to the clinic and check if its true. Every pregnacy result gives you a due date so check first. Take care.

That sounds more like a fake letter. My Doctor never provided me with a letter but with an ultrasound pic. (even though I’m more than sure they can provide one) But the letter should have all the doctor main business contact and signature on the letter and a letterhead. When I was pregnant around that time my doctor did a vaginal ultrasound…..I don’t know the exact word for it but its the ultrasound where they stick the long nozzle into the vaginal to check for the baby’s heartbeat. So she should be able to provide you a picture even though that early on it will only look like a small dot. But if this is your girlfriend/wife I would go to the doctor with her next time So you can hear if for yourself.
