We all have different opinions…I know!! I believe I am a very good mother…I was just curious as to what you all thought was “bad parenting”!! And I also know…everyone parents differently!

If I only have .00 left till payday and I’m out of wine and the baby’s out of formula…….If I get the wine and not the formula I would say that’s bad parenting!! LOL!

Adolescent crime is becoming a big thing. Most people said that better parenting would help reduce the problem. What changes or practices would you consider helpful in combating adolescent crime?

If the parent(s) show their love by setting boundaries and enforcing them. That’s the biggest thing I can think of. If the parent sets the right example for their kid.

Mine would be the “don’t let the TV be the babysitter”. Sometimes Mommy needs 30 minutes to herself Rebel Mom here, lol.
I’m asking more along the lines of rules for parents, not parents’ rules for kids, lol.

Not really much I can’t do that I really want to do, I’m not into drugs alcohol or smoking. I’m allowed to have girlfriends and stuff, obviously they don’t want me having sex, but I don’t want kids before I’m 18 either.

Question by Soloist: Is it honestly “bad parenting” if you don’t give your teen the sex talk?
A woman at my parents’ church told them they were “horrible parents” for not preaching safe sex (or whatever parents try to teach). I don’t see how that’s any of her business (but they talk about everything in their little groups apparently).

I personally just think it’s the woman. She’s very intrusive and obviously feels the need to criticize everything.

It shouldn’t be A sex talk. It should be an ongoing process, and include values, your goals, future plans, respect for yourself and others, your religious beliefs, and lots more.
